Causes they championed

Service, for them, was always larger than the self.

The organizations and efforts below reflect the values they lived by: education, compassionate medicine, relief for people in need, and practical support that quietly changes daily life.

01

Education as a form of inheritance.

Anjuman Wazifa

Dr. Madad believed higher education could transform the future of a family and a community. In the late 1980s he helped lay the foundation for Anjuman Wazifa in America and remained one of its most committed supporters.

He also served as President for two terms. His conviction was simple and steadfast: every child should be given the means to pursue learning with dignity.

Care carried outward into the world.

Imamia Medics International

His vocation as a physician expanded naturally into humanitarian work. Through Imamia Medics International, he supported healthcare and relief for underserved communities around the world.

He served on IMI’s Global Board of Regents for two terms and joined medical delegations abroad. That work reflected a larger ethic that shaped both of their lives: to serve where service was needed most.

A cause made personal by experience.

ALS Association

Dr. Madad’s diagnosis with ALS brought the reality of this disease close to home. Supporting ALS research and care honors both his dignity in illness and the families still navigating the same uncertainty today.

Water wells

Practical mercy with lasting reach.

The family continues Dr. Madad’s charitable work by funding deep water wells in Pakistani villages. Each well supports roughly 100 to 250 people, turning remembrance into something daily, tangible, and shared.
